Cub Scout Pack 221 invites all boys entering grades 1-5 and their families to attend Join Scouting Night on Wed., Aug. 25 at 7:00 pm. Information programs will be held in the cafeterias of both McCall and Hickey Elementaries at that time. (Any boy in grades 1-5 is welcome to join Pack 221, even if they do not attend McCall or Hickey.)
Cub Scouts is a fun, educational, value-based and family-oriented experience. Typically, boys will meet with their den (grade-level) twice a month to work on requirements/achievements for their rank. First graders are Tiger Cubs, second graders are Wolves, third graders are Bears, fourth graders are Webelos I and fifth graders are Webelos II. Once a month, all the dens meet together at First United Methodist Church (Spring Creek and Parker) for a Pack meeting to share what their den has been working on and to discuss the theme of the month and any upcoming activities. Because each rank has its own program, boys can join Cub Scouts at any grade level.

Recently we've had a few of these, and we wanted to be sure to remind you, our fellow neighbors, that your crime watch block captains, area coordinator, and HOA Board of Directors are here to help when you need us.

The City of Plano began the deployment of a wireless mesh network in 2006 and is in the final stages of implementation of this network. The purpose of this network is to provide wireless connectivity throughout the city limits of Plano for Public Safety personnel and vehicles and other non-public safety city mobile employees. Please note that this wireless network was not designed for public access. As the network has been deployed the scope has expanded to provide fixed network connectivity for remote City locations.
