Cancellation of Annual HOA Picnic

Fellow neighbors and homeowners: It is with regret I tell you after much thought and examination the Board of Directors has voted to not conduct our annual neighborhood HOA picnic next Saturday, May 12th. We voted to do this due to a lack of volunteers and a perceived lack of interest. This is the first time this has happened in the more than 15 annual picnics we have held. The picnic is about you and we cannot do it without you being involved. We are looking at possibly trying to hold this event later this year, maybe with the National Night Out campaign. It all depends, specially with how many volunteers we get to help. If you would like to volunteer and help with the picnic later this year please let us hear from you. The sooner we hear from you will help us make the determination regarding the future of the picnic. Once Weekly Watering Returns April 3

The City of Plano is pleased to announce that residents can return to watering one time a week beginning April 3. Under the new watering schedule, odd addresses can operate irrigation watering (such as sprinklers) on Tuesdays and even addresses can do so on Thursdays. No watering is allowed between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. During the weeks we have rain, please turn off sprinkler systems. Foundations, new landscaping, first year plantings of shrubs and trees may be watered within a 10-feet radius of their trunk for up to two hours any day by a hand-held hose, a soaker hose or a dedicated zone using a low-flow irrigation system. The Plano Sunrise Rotary Club invites you to join your neighbors in proudly displaying the American Flag in front of your home. This program gives residents of your community the opportunity to show their pride and love for our country. In exchange for an annual subscription price of $40.00, we will place a 3-foot x 5-foot American Flag on a 10-foot pole between the curb and sidewalk near your front door. Seeing these flags lined up along the streets in your community is truly an impressive site, so we encourage you to talk to your neighbors and get everyone involved! Proceeds from this flag program enable us to contribute to a variety of worthwhile charitable programs.

2012-2013 SUBSCRIPTION FORM

Yes, I wish to participate in the Holiday Flag Program of the Plano Sunrise Rotary Club. For an annual subscription fee, the Plano Sunrise Rotary Club agrees to place an American Flag at the address listed below on six (6) selected flag holidays for the periods shown above. I agree to advise the Plano Sunrise Rotary Club of any sprinkler, plumbing, or electrical service that might interfere with the placement of the flag. I will allow the Plano Sunrise Rotary Club to paint a colored stripe on the street curb indicating where the flag is to be placed, and allow the Plano Sunrise Rotary Club to place a sleeve in the ground at the flag location. I understand in the case of inclement weather the flag will not be displayed. I agree that it is my responsibility to follow all flag etiquette during the display period.
