As you may or may not know, our wonderful Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve opened on July 11 of this year and is officially active.  This wonderful city asset is within a few minutes walking or biking distance from most of our homes.  Speaking of walking and biking, did you know that the park boasts over 7 miles of natural trail surface and over 3 miles of paved trail surface?

So much has been completed and yet there's so much more to be done.  The city has additional work planned such as the visitor's center that is one to two years off as well as the western extension (west of Jupiter going NW to corner of Chapparal/Ave K) which will hopefully be completed in next several years.  Stay tuned for more park updates as we received them or visit the official park website  In the meantime, go enjoy the park!
